Monday Night RAW continued their road to WrestleMania Backlash. There was a lot of fun and a few not-so-fun segments, with the highlight being Randy Orton’s anniversary festivities. There are a few tiny details you probably missed. Luckily, you have me here to catch all the little small stuff that slipped by.

Check out a full recap here.

Randy Orton’s Birthplace

Randy Orton was born in Knoxville, TN, where the April 25th RAW originated. Randy said, “check out Wikipedia,” and I did, and yes, he was born in Knoxville. The night started with Orton celebrating his 20th anniversary in WWE.

Randy Orton was born in 1980. He is the son of the legendary Cowboy Bob Orton, who in the early 1980s worked in the Central States and Mid-South. The Mid-South territory was based around Tennessee, with Knoxville one of the main hubs.

Mustafa Ali’s Return

Mustafa Ali made a surprise return to WWE after a four-month absence. Ali came out to challenge Theory and the Miz and ended up with a match with The Miz.

Miz commented, “You’re going to wish you got your walking papers.” Theory got in on the action too.

This is about Ali asking WWE to release him a few months back.

It seems like issues have been resolved, and Ali is feuding with NXT callup Ciampa.

Bobby Lashley Goes Over The Top

Bobby Lashley engaged in an arm-wrestling contest against the colossus Omos. This feat of strength is pretty standard for Lashley, as he has arm-wrestled during several feuds. He has arm-wrestled: Braun Strowman, Apollo Crews, and even Vincent Kennedy McMahon himself.

Expect some more feats of strength between Omos and Lashley. Like a tug-of-war or truck-pull contest.

Overall Impressions of RAW

Last night’s episode set up a few new feuds and moved forward more. I’m excited to see the struggle between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley. But I am most excited for Ciampa vs. Mustafa Ali. I hope they get the ring time they need to tell a great story. Both of these men are capable of stealing the show at any moment.

I think the Bianca Belair/Sonya Deville feud has potential. We’ve seen touches of Deville abusing her power, but she should turn it up a great deal. An excellent villain move would be to steal the title from Belair outright and declare herself a champion. It would make the fall and Belair’s reclamation that much sweeter.
