Brian Kendrick Apologizes For Comments, New Shift For WM 38 Week

During a High Spots interview in 2013, Brian Kendrick made some awful comments about the Sandy Hook shooting and the Holocaust. This circled the internet ahead of his AEW debut, which was supposed to be this week. Now, Kendrick is apologizing for things he said.

Brian Kendrick Apologizes For Comments

Kendrick made some terrible things during that 2013 interview. Fans can look up the interview, WNZ does not agree with or want to repeat (even paraphrase) Brian’s view on the Holocaust or Sandy Hook at that time.

What we will say is that Kendrick did hop on Twitter once the comments resurfaced. His apology is above.

Brian Kendrick Apologizes Comments – What’s His AEW Status?

As a result, Brian was taken out of last night’s AEW Dynamite show. He was originally slated to face off against Jon Moxley.

Wheeler Yuta ended up taking Kendrick’s spot. Tony Khan tweeted about this change in the line-up, prior to the show.

No indication as to whether or not Brian will be given another chance at AEW or if he’s lost out on a major opportunity. Only time will tell.

Over to the land of the WWE, WrestleMania is the company’s biggest event of the year. However, this year might be a bit different from years past.

New Shift For WM 38 Week

The company recently revealed that the Hall of Fame ceremony would take place Friday night before ‘Mania (after SmackDown). Meanwhile, the NXT event would happen earlier in the day, before “night one” of WM 38, itself.

While WM weekend is always fun and exciting, a three-to-four HOF with a three-hour NXT event, followed by WM 38 “night one” is a lot. Even for the most avid WWE fan.

Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Radio chimed in on this, recently. He states that some fans will be utterly exhausted by the time the last match on Saturday hits.

Dave adds that some people will watch the HOF until midnight, wake up early to go to the NXT event, and after some hours, head to Saturday night’s WM. Meltzer also notes that most people will just skip NXT and the Hall of Fame.

Smaller Venues For NXT & Hall of Fame

Meltzer notes that the locations for both NXT and the Hall of Fame will be much smaller venues, holding about 5,000 people. While Saturday’s WM will have anywhere between 65,000 to 70,000 fans.

So, therefore, not everyone attending WM 38 will also be at the HOF and NXT. There will be some fans, but not all.

Interestingly enough, fans who do end up going to the NXT event, Hall of Fame ceremony, and both WM 38 nights are committed to 15 hours that weekend. This doesn’t include the other non-WWE events that occur during that time, too.

WrestleMania week and weekend create energy like nothing else to the town and fans that attend. With that said, now that the WWE has chosen to do a two-night WM, this does mean that other events need to shift in focus to ensure everything gets “packed” in.

Regardless, it should make for a fun three days in Texas, either way. Will the fans at home be able to keep up with a Friday night HOF, Saturday NXT event, and Saturday evening WM?

Most likely. But there will be plenty of worn-out viewers by the time Monday Night RAW hits!
