Suzanne Somers Bob Saget

The world is in mourning today after learning “Full House” star Bob Saget passed away suddenly on Sunday at the age of 65. Now, video is going viral showing his friend Suzanne Somers of “Three’s Company” fame finding out about his death on live television.

Somers Learns Of Saget’s Death On Live TV

Somers was being interviewed by host Angela Bishop on Australia’s “Studio 10” morning show on Monday morning, which was Sunday night in the U.S. During the interview, Bishop broke the news about Saget’s death, leaving Somers in shock.

“I’m hearing it from you,” a visibly stunned Somers said, according to Daily Mail

Somers, 75, went on to explain that she became friends with Saget in the 1990s when they were filming shows nearby one another.

“I would appear on his show from time to time, because right next door at Warner Bros. was my set for ‘Step By Step,’ where I starred with Patrick Duffy, and we would go over to the ‘Full House’ set, and it was kind of this wonderful thing that was going on at Warner Bros. at that time,” she recalled.

‘I Can’t Believe It’

Somers then said that it is “so sad” to hear that Saget died.

“I can’t believe it,” she added. “He’s so young. That’s just … I’m so, so, so sorry. He was a great guy. Really nice.”

Saget was found dead in his room at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando, Florida on Sunday after performing a show there the night before.

“There was no foul play, nothing odd at all. All we have been told is that he died in his sleep,” a source close to Saget’s family told Daily Mail. “We are all just devastated. I talked to him Saturday afternoon. He had a great show Saturday night. He was the most generous, lovely guy. It’s just tragic.”

Saget’s Family ‘Devastated’

Saget is survived by his wife Kelly Rizzo, whom he married in 2018, and his three children — Aubrey, 34, Lara, 32, and Jennifer, 29 — from a previous marriage. The family paid tribute to their “beloved Bob” by saying that they were “devastated” over his death.

“He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter,” the family added. “Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”

Please join us in saying a prayer for Saget’s family and friends during this difficult time.
