Meat Loaf, whose iconic Bat Out Of Hell album revolutionized the rock power ballad, has passed away at age 74. The rock star flew onto the scene in 1977 with Bat Out Of Hell becoming one of the highest-selling albums of all time.
If you haven’t heard it in a while, here’s “Bat Out Of Hell.”
Meat Loaf’s presence and style were singular. I don’t think anyone could match his energy and power on stage and in his voice. RIP to a real favorite.
According to TMZ Meat Loaf (real name Marvin Lee Aday) died from complications due to COVID. While he was outspoken against vaccine mandates, we do not know his vaccination status. TMZ thought it important to put that in there, but I don’t see what that matters.

In addition to singing, Meat Loaf also dabbled in acting, including his memorable role in Fight Club.
He also played dead delivery driver Eddie in Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Fans are right, they don’t make ’em like they used to.
Meat Loaf gave a lot of hope to chubby guys like myself that we could have sex appeal.

I hate losing legends like this. I will be listening to him for the remainder of the day.
