Meat Loaf, whose iconic Bat Out Of Hell album revolutionized the rock power ballad, has passed away at age 74. The rock star flew onto the scene in 1977 with Bat Out Of Hell becoming one of the highest-selling albums of all time.

If you haven’t heard it in a while, here’s “Bat Out Of Hell.”

Meat Loaf’s presence and style were singular. I don’t think anyone could match his energy and power on stage and in his voice. RIP to a real favorite.

What Was Meat Loaf’s Cause Of Death?

According to TMZ Meat Loaf (real name Marvin Lee Aday) died from complications due to COVID. While he was outspoken against vaccine mandates, we do not know his vaccination status. TMZ thought it important to put that in there, but I don’t see what that matters.

He also played dead delivery driver Eddie in Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Fans are right, they don’t make ’em like they used to.
