WWE Reportedly Released Toni Storm Per Her Request

Storm is repoertly not longer a member of WWE. Fightful and PWInsider report she requested and was granted her a release.

This has nothing to do with the mass WWE cuts for an over a year now. A memo about sent to talent this afternoon about her departure.

She was in town for Baltimore, but left this morning. WWE is there for a live event in town.

Storm has been feuding with SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair lately. They wrestled last Friday on SmackDown and live events this weekend.

She began working with WWE in the summer of 2017. Then, she won the 2018 Mae Young Classic and seemed set for a major push.

She worked in NXT UK and won the Women’s Championship. Eventually, she was sent to NXT where she became a heel and then joined the main roster.

Storm’s really only big angle was the recent one with Charlotte Flair. Surely, a major loss for WWE as fans adored her and she knew how to wrestle.

For now, there is no word on what led to her departure. The not so great booking probably did not help.
