Ed Koskey has been holding down the WWE fort on television as of late. That’s because Executive Producer of both RAW and Smackdown, Bruce Prichard, has been away for a number of TV tapings recently. WNZ has the reason why, below.

Bruce Prichard Out Due To Illness

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio recently chimed in on why Bruce Prichard has been away from Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown tapings as of late. He is sick, but it is not due to COVID-19.

According to Meltzer, Prichard is sick, but Dave was told it’s not the novel coronavirus. This might be a relief for some fans out there to know.

How Long Will Bruce Prichard Be Out Due To His Illness?

No other information was provided by Meltzer. The illness that Bruce has was not stated.

No official return date to his WWE job was noted. Here’s hoping Prichard makes a full and healthy recovery.

Bruce Prichard replaced both Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman in October 2019 as Executive Producer of SmackDown and RAW. For those that remember, Heyman was overseeing the Red brand at the time, while Bischoff ran the Blue brand.

Over to the land of AEW, fans are missing Kenny Omega. However, from the looks of it, a major angle is being drawn for his comeback.

Big Angle for Kenny Omega Return

When Adam Cole left NXT and became All Elite, he aligned himself with the Young Bucks. Then, Bobby Fisher entered the land of AEW, joining forces with Cole.

Kyle O’Reilly showed up last week on Dynamite, and the old Undisputed Era went up against The Best Friends. While the UE won the match, Kyle “accidentally” kicked Adam during the bout.

This led to Fish and O’Reilly celebrating their win without Cole. There was tension between Kyle and Adam, as Cole watched on with the Young Bucks from ringside, after the match.

Could a major storyline be in the works? Will Kenny Omega be written into it when he returns?

How Will Kenny Omega’s Return Impact Things?

Dave Meltzer recently chats about this all during his latest Wrestling Observer Radio. He believes AEW is building up a program between The Elite and The Undisputed Era for Omega’s comeback.

According to Dave, he thinks AEW is “teasing” Fish and O’Reilly versus the Young Bucks, where Cole has to “pick” a side. Meltzer feels as if the logical choice for Adam is Kyle and Bobby.

With that said, if the Young Bucks is down a person, and if/when Cole chooses his UE NXT buddies, Omega could return. This would launch a feud and “even” the teams up.

Meltzer notes this would be a big feud for Kenny to return to. It would also be an incredible rivalry.

There’s so much history between Adam Cole with both tag teams. It’ll be interesting to see how this storyline unfolds.

Dave is still unsure of “exactly” when Kenny is supposed to return. But things could be shaping up nicely for his comeback.
