Triple H Approved Offensive Line, Bronson Reed To Sign With NJPW?

Triple H approved an offensive line years ago and now people are talking. Also, Bronson Reed could be heading to NJPW after his release from WWE.

Triple H Approved Offensive Line

WWE was known for pushing the envelope, espeiclly during the Attitude Era. There was cursing, guns, blood, nudity and basically anything else possible.

Eventually, WWE moved past that era and the product became more kid friendly. Still, certain moments that would not be considered PG13 made it to TV.

Zeb Colter has held many on-screen and backstage jobs with WWE. He managed Jack Swagger for a bit when he returned to TV.

The pairing would often see Colter spread anti-immigration beliefs using his right of free speech. One line in particular, involving Titus O’Neil and Darren Young went too far according to Colter.

The line involved Colter stating a controversial line about “affirmative action.” He took his concerns to Triple H, who apparently did not seem interested.

While speaking with Smack Talk, Colter went over his discussion with Triple H.

The Offensive Line

“Zeb Colter was supposed to be the right-wing radical, but the way I was doing my interviews, it made sense, and a lot of people were agreeing with me,” said Colter. “They wanted me to go out one time and I was talking to Titus and Darren Young.”

“[WWE management] wanted me to say what I got against them is ‘affirmative action’ and I went ‘Guys, I don’t wanna say that. They said ‘Oh yeah, that’s what they want you to say.’”

“I asked ‘Why?’ I said ‘I guarantee you, when I go out there and I say that, now I’m radicalizing – I’m just making Zeb Colter a straight out racist.’”

“They said ‘Well, do this,’ and I then went to Triple H and said ‘Hey man, you’re gonna kill this character’ and he did say this: ‘Okay, say it. If they don’t respond then take it out.’”

The line happened and did nothing to help Colter or Swagger. The pairing did not last too long and they went their separate ways before departing WWE.

Bronson Reed won the North American Championship in NXT and seemed headed for the main roster. He even worked a few matches before RAW or SmackDown.

Then, in a surprise move, he was part of a giant list of NXT superstars to be released. So far, he is yet to sign anywhere.

When WWE lets talent go, AEW, Impact Wresting NWA and New Japan Pro Wrestling seem to be the best options. Reed, whose real name is Jonah Rock, might have found a new home.

Fightful has learned that Bronson Reed, who is going by his previous moniker of Jonah Rock, has some major interest from multiple top wrestling companies. Sources within the company have indicated that New Japan Pro Wrestling has made a big play to gain Jonah Rock’s services.”

Working with NJWP could open other windows too. The past year has seen the NJPW work alongside AEW and Impact Wrestling.

It seems most wrestling companies are willing to let other promotions borrow talent. The only one not participating is WWE.
