It’s another RAW In A Nutshell, and following Sunday’s Survivor Series, the burning question is…who stole Cleopatra’s Egg?
Yes, I know, it’s a crazy question to ask…and if you did not catch Sunday’s PPV, you might be a little lost.
If you did, however, you’d know that Vince McMahon came back to TV on the show, and brought with him Cleopatra’s Egg.
It was allegedly a gift from The Rock, but of course, it’s merely a tie-in to a promotional thing WWE took some money for.
Because, with their latest cuts, they need more of it…
But I digress.
We wrapped up Survivor Series with a question: who stole Cleopatra’s Egg…because it was missing from Vince’s office.
So, we get a RAW, from Brooklyn, with both red and blue brand Superstars.
Not in the name of solving a caper, of course. Nope, this is all about more talent on hand to pop ratings.
Or, at the very least, try to.
So, without any further banter, it is time for…
Let’s crack open this Nutshell and get into it!
I could go with Austin Theory and Big E…but I felt like it had too many moving parts.
On the other hand, if you are a fan of Damian Priest…this is for you.
Going with Priest versus Sami Zayn. Match was, in my view, sneaky good.
Rey and Dom versus Bobby Lashley.
This is seriously a no win situation.
If the Mysterios lose, they look weak.
However, if Lashley loses, he’s neutered.
The Mysterios lost…and it just didn’t need to happen.
No matter the outcome, I feel like this show truly validated Austin Theory.
He was a key figure in the “who stole Cleopatra’s egg” angle, and it got him selfie time with Vince McMahon, and a shot at the title to close out RAW.
Dana Brooke drilling Cedric Alexander with the neck breaker off the top…on her way to claiming the 24/7 title.
Has to be Cedric Alexander right? I mean, dude goes from winning the 24/7 Championship…to dropping it to Dana Brooke.
Just going to leave this here…
Austin Theory, new WWE King of the Selfies, was the Superstar who stole Cleopatra’s Egg.
And, in bizarro world, Vince offered the person figuring that out, a shot at Big E on this week’s show.
Sami Zayn apparently helped crack the case, but when Austin showed off the selfies, Vince loved it and gave Theory the shot instead.
Remember, it’s been said Theory has a bright future…
We have new Women’s Tag Team Champions, as Carmella and Queen Zelina have dethroned Nikki A.S.H and Rhea Ripley.
Also, Cedric Alexander took the 24/7 title off of Reggie. Of course, he immediately lost it to Dana Brooke…who no one wanted a piece of.
Seeing all the cuts is bad enough…but the references to them in promos just seems weird.
There might have been others, but the one I caught tonight? Becky Lynch, telling Liv Morgan that some of her friends aren’t even here anymore.
Ouch.
The Cleopatra’s Egg thing was a weird decision. Sure, it’s from a movie starring The Rock, but the tie in and all was just…goofy.
However, WWE made it work (I think). It was a way for Vince to give Theory the rub and give him a chance with the main event.
I would have been stunned if Theory won the title…but stranger things have happened.
Honestly, I expected a train wreck with the egg. I mean…WWE has a really bad history with eggs around Thanksgiving.
I was pleasantly surprised with how things worked out.
RAW was in a bit of an odd spot this show-and likely will be for a few more.
The next PPV is still 6 weeks away, so there’s some time to kill before hype kicks in.
If more shows end up like that…and we see some fresh talent pushed? I can get into that.
