While appearing on “Big Brother VIP” in Australia recently, Caitlyn Jenner opened up about her bitter feud with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Jenner Talks DeGeneres

Caitlyn Jenner told her cast-mates that Ellen DeGeneres has “never” tried to contact her since her infamous appearance on her talk show in 2015.

Jenner appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” right after she came out as transgender. She recalled that DeGeneres began by asking her “normal questions” before shifting to her stance on gay marriage, something that the conservative former Olympian had previously said that she was against.

“So I try to do my best and I thought I did OK. But looking back on it, I could’ve handled a couple of things a little bit differently. Because I didn’t think [Ellen] would respond the way she did,” Caitlyn recalled, according to Daily Mail.

“And then she goes to me, ‘Well it sounds like you’re really not for it.’ And I said, ‘No, I just said I’m for gay marriage.’ The next week, she goes on Howard Stern’s show… and says I was against gay marriage and absolutely burnt my ass. And so, in the media, I got really tough on her.”

Jenner Nearly Banned Kardashians From Going On DeGeneres’ Show

Jenner went on to say that she considered calling her then-wife Kris Jenner and telling her to ban the Kardashians from appearing on DeGeneres’ show.

“But I didn’t. I thought, ‘I don’t want to get involved in that,'” she added.

In her 2015 interview with DeGeneres, Jenner described herself as “a traditionalist” when it comes to marriage.

“I’m older than most people in the audience. I kind of like tradition, and it’s always been a man and a woman, and I’m thinking ‘I don’t quite get it,'” she said six years ago, going on to add that her stance changed over time to that of, “I don’t ever want to stand in front of anybody’s happiness.'”

DeGeneres Slams Jenner

DeGeneres told Howard Stern weeks later that Jenner “still has a judgment about gay marriage.”

Here’s the clip from that show:

“I don’t really know her, and I’m trying to understand it because I don’t fully understand it either but I also want everybody to be happy,” DeGeneres said at the time. “I want her to be happy, which is what I want for her, for me.”

Jenner wrote in her book The Secrets of My Life that DeGeneres “alienated” her from the LGBTQ community. Though there is clearly no love lost between these two, the Kardashian and Jenner children are still frequent guests on DeGeneres’ talk show.
