Adele is out with her latest album, 30. Wrote in the aftermath of her divorce, the UK singer’s latest album deals with heartbreak and the peril of marriage and growing up. You would think writing a whole album about divorce would dissuade anyone from walking down the aisle again.

But for Adele, marriage felt “safe.” Here’s what she had to say about the prospect of getting married again:

“I can’t really say why, but I’m definitely open to marriage again,” she continued. “I definitely am — the feeling I had, in being married, was the safest feeling I’ve ever had in my life. Sadly, it didn’t work out.

Adele And I Handled Divorce Differently

I appreciate her honesty. I understand the hesitation and also the desire to get back into a marriage. When my marriage ended I thought I’d never find happiness again. I didn’t even think I deserved it. That changed over time as I learned to forgive myself and move forward.

I had to take some time to heal. Now for me, that was getting into good physical shape, eating right, and traveling a lot more.

But for Adele, I guess it was recording another earth-shattering record. Different strokes for different folks, I reckon.

She Helped A Fan Propose

Not only is Adele pro-marriage, but she is even helping facilitate marriage by helping a man propose at her recent concert.

On a somewhat related note, how cool is it to have a concert at Griffith Observatory? It’s probably my favorite landmark in LA. I used to live right by it and could see the Observatory and the Hollywood sign outside my window.

If you’re ever in LA, I would definitely suggest a visit to the Observatory. It’s a fun hike plus there’s the planetarium and a lot of cool science exhibits.

And while we’re on the subject of visiting Hollywood – just avoid Hollywood in general. There’s a lot more to LA that isn’t covered with tourist traps and rampant homelessness… Anyway, where was I?

Right, Adele.

I was worried she would lose a step with taking so much time off. Plus, albums made in the pits of emotional upheaval can be very hit or miss. But from all accounts, she is back in her stride with powerful ballads that will have people bawling in the cars on the way to work.

Reviews For Adele’s 30

30 has debuted to rave reviews. It is on track to be her best-reviewed album with an average of 89 (out of 100) on critic aggregator Metacritic. Rolling Stone called 30 Adele’s “toughest, most powerful album yet.”

I’m sure it will sell a million and set her up nicely for her rumored Las Vegas residency.
