UFC 267 Results: Glover Teixeira Fulfills Life-Long Dream

Glover Teixeira showed to all that you should never give up your dream.

Teixeira finished Jan Blachowicz in the second round to win the light heavyweight title at UFC 267 Saturday in Abu Dhabi. 

The veteran locked up a rear-naked choke for the win, fulfilling a life-long dream.

In the co-main event, Petr Yan claimed the interim bantamweight belt with a decision victory over Cory Sandhagen.

Yan, the former champion, was scheduled to meet Aljamain Sterling for the belt in a rematch. Sterling, though, was forced out of the bout.

Islam Makhachev, Alexander Volkov, Khamzat Chimaev and Magomed Ankalaev all earned wins.

Chimaev submitted Li Jingliang in the first round with Makhachev also doing the same to Dan Hooker.

On the prelims, Amanda Ribas, Zubaira Tukhugov, Albert Duraev, Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos, Michal Oleksiejczuk, Lerone Murphy, Andre Petroski and Tagir Ulanbekov all were winners.

Yan and Sandhagen earned “Fight of the Night” while Teixeira and Chimaez were named “Performance of the Night” bonuses.
