Kelly Clarkson Scores Huge Victory In Bitter Divorce Battle

Kelly Clarkson learned that her Montana ranch will not be considered marital property and will solely belong to her - it's worth $10 million.

Singer and talk show host Kelly Clarkson has scored a huge victory from a judge in her bitter divorce from her ex Brandon Blackstock, which has been ongoing for over a year.

Clarkson’s Huge Victory In Court

Fox News has obtained court papers showing that a Los Angeles Superior Court judge has ruled that Clarkson will get to keep her ranch in Montana. The judge rejected Blackstock’s petition claiming that the ranch in question was “marital property.”

The judge ruled that “the Montana ranch and the other two Montana properties are not titled in both of the Parties’ names either as joint tenants with right of survivorship or as tenants by the entireties, as required under the PMA to create marital property. The court therefore rejects Respondent’s position that the Montana ranch and other Montana properties are marital property owned 50/50 by the Parties.”

Major Setback For Blackstock

This is a huge setback for Blackstock. He’s been living on the ranch throughout this divorce and had been hoping to make it his permanent home.

Clarkson will now have the right to sell the ranch, which CNN reported is worth $10 million, whether her ex-husband likes it or not.

Sources told TMZ that Clarkson has been trying to get Blackstock to move out of the ranch, but he has refused to do so.

These insiders say that the situation has gotten so bad that Clarkson sees Blackstock as a squatter at this point. She’s now contemplating taking legal action to force him to vacate the property.

Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock, with whom she shares two young children, in June of last year citing “irreconcilable differences.”

“They clashed on so many levels, and being in quarantine together heightened their problems to the point of no return. So she filed for divorce,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time of the divorce filing. “Everyone thought Kelly and Brandon had the perfect marriage, but they definitely didn’t. Brandon’s very laid-back, whereas Kelly’s pretty high-strung.”

Clarkson And Blackstock Struggling To Co-Parent

The divorce has gotten nasty at times over the past year, and Clarkson has admitted that co-parenting has been tough at times.

“I know with me and Brandon, it’s just a difficult thing because we’re in different places, and it’s like, we both agree on the main things, but it’s a hard thing when you’re not together all the time, for me personally,” she said in February, according to US Weekly. “As long as you make sure it’s about the children and their best interests, then we’re both on board.”

For the sake of everyone involved, we hope that this latest ruling from a judge will bring this divorce closer to ending completely, once and for all.
