Gimmick Change For Alexa Bliss Return, WWE Queen’s Crown Criticism

Could Alexa Bliss return to the WWE with a gimmick change? A social media post has fans speculating now more than ever.

Gimmick Change For Alexa Bliss WWE Return

The WWE Universe hasn’t seen Alexa Bliss since the Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV). She lost her chance at the WWE RAW Women’s title that night.

After the match, the current champ and her opponent Charlotte Flair ripped her doll, Lilly apart. Bliss was devastated at the end of the bout.

PW Insider reports that Alexa has a sinus surgery set soon. No timetable on when Bliss’s comeback will happen.

This past Monday, Bliss hopped on Twitter. With one simple post, she has fans speculating.

Will Alexa Bliss Have A Gimmick Change Upon Her Return?

As you can see above, Bliss’s tweet shows a GIF of her undergoing a number of gimmick transformations. Could this be a hint that she’ll ditch her Fiend-esque character for another?

It’s interesting to note that Bliss was drafted to RAW during the 2021 WWE draft. Unlike other injured talents like Asuka and Bayley who are not linked to a brand, as of yet.

This might also be an indication that Alexa could return to action shortly. Only time will tell.

Speaking of women’s wrestling, the women’s revolution isn’t what it used to be. While they did launch the Queen’s Crown tourney, the matches have been very short.

WWE Queen’s Crown Criticism

Wrestling personality and host Denise Salcedo recently hit Twitter with a list of times around the Queen’s Crown tourney matches. The results were stunning.

Zelina Vega versus Toni Storm on SmackDown was a mere 2 minutes and 13 seconds. While Carmella and Liv Morgan’s bout only was 1 minute and 33 seconds.

Meanwhile on RAW, Shayna Baszler versus Dana Brooke took all of 1 minute and 22 seconds. Then Nattie versus Doudrop was just under 3 minutes.

During the SmackDown Queen’s Crown semi-finals, Vega versus Carmella’s match was 2 minutes and 41 seconds. The RAW semi-finals saw Doudrop versus Baszler at 2 minutes and 46 seconds.

The Entire Tournament Was Only 14 Minutes In Total …

If you got your calculators out, you’d see the entire WWE Queen’s Crown tournament has only received about 14 minutes of television time.

In fact, not a single bout has gone over the three-minute mark. Should #GiveDivasAChance start trending back on Twitter?

Unfortunately, WWE’s women’s wrestling has once again sunken so low. Has WWE Creative forgotten about the revolution and evolution that was made some time ago?

The silver lining in all this is that things can be redeemed. The finals take place during the Crown Jewel PPV, coming from Saudi Arabia.

The event will unfold this Thursday, October 21st. The final Queen’s Crown match pits Zelina Vega versus Doudrop.

While the Queen’s Crown tourney hasn’t been all it should be, there’s still hope that the final match will create some buzz. At the end of the day, a first-ever “WWE Queen” will be crowned.

Whether that be Doudrop or Vega, the women will make history. Another WWE milestone, set to take place in Saudi Arabia.
