Candace Cameron Bure is one of the only openly Christian conservative actresses in Hollywood.

‘When You’re A Conservative In Hollywood’

This week, she opened up about this in a fun way when she posted a cheeky TikTok that she captioned, “When you’re conservative in Hollywood.”

The TikTok depicted Cameron Bure, 45, sitting under a tree as she lip-synced to a person slyly saying, “Is it me? Am I the drama? I don’t think I’m the drama. Maybe I am. Am I the villain? I don’t think I’m the villain.”

Fox News reported that the audio clip came from a promo for the latest season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars,” in which contestant Scarlet Envy spoke those exact words.

Cameron Bure then repurposed them to being a conservative in Hollywood.

Cameron Bure’s PTSD

This comes after Cameron Bure said that she has “PTSD” from her time being the lone conservative on “The View,” which she cohosted for two seasons.

“I actually have a pit in my stomach right now,” Cameron Bure said. “There was only one type of stress that I’ve ever felt in my life, that came from that show. And I [have] PTSD, like, I can feel it. It was so difficult, and to manage that emotional stress was very, very hard.”

Cameron Bure added that while she felt “pressure” to represent conservative Americans, she also often felt trapped “just trying to understand and have a general grasp of topics that I didn’t want to talk about or didn’t care about.”

“When I felt like I was going into a show that I didn’t have a clear opinion about or it was something that I was legitimately nervous to talk about because I did have an opinion about it but I knew I was the only one at the table that had my opinion, I would just get sick to my stomach,” she explained. “I hated that feeling. And then I’m like, ‘I don’t know who’s going to come at me.”

Cameron Bure Fires Back At Haters

Earlier this year, Cameron Bure fired back at haters trying to cancel her for following conservatives on social media, saying that she follows people who are both left and right.

“A follow does not mean an endorsement,” she said in January. “A follow does not mean I agree with everything they say and do. It just means I follow a broad range of people so that I have perspective. I want to know what’s going on in the world, I want to hear different sides of the argument. I follow people in entertainment that I don’t necessarily agree with or act the same way, but I want to hear what our society, what culture is dishing out.”

“I just don’t publicly want to talk about politics,” Cameron Bure added. “Not because I don’t believe that my viewpoints and opinions are important but I would much rather share Jesus with people. That’s really my passion.”
