Prince Harry was once the most popular member of the British Royal Family, but ever since he went “woke,” those days are long gone.

Harry’s Popularity Plummets

Daily Mail reported that polls have shown that Harry’s popularity is at an all-time low in the wake of his tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year. His popularity fell nine points from 43 percent in April to 34 percent now.

Here’s a short video from Entertainment Tonight about the strained relationship between Harry and the Royal Family.

Former Royal editor Duncan Larcombe, who has been covering Prince Harry since he was a teenager, spoke out this week to say that going from being the most popular Royal to where he is now “must be really hard for him and probably adds to his anger.”

“Meghan too was so welcomed in the beginning, but now the UK has lost trust in her. Their popularity has totally nosedived,” Larcombe told Closer Magazine

Harry Won’t Be Welcomed Back By Royals, Expert Says

“It’s worrying to think what Harry has left if his American life fails for him. I don’t think he’ll be welcomed back as a working Royal, but he would as a brother, son and grandson,” the Royal expert added.

“If Harry’s not on the balcony at Buckingham Palace, waving to the crowds, on the day his father or his brother becomes King, then I think the public will be done with him,” Larcombe said.

YouGov, which carried out the poll in question, blamed Harry and Meghan’s “poor responses to their statements surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and the withdrawal from Afghanistan” for their dip in popularity.

It also cited the Oprah interview in which Harry and Meghan shamelessly bashed the Royal Family as another reason behind the popularity drop.

Harry And Meghan Under A Ton Of Pressure

While Larcombe said that Harry has likely found some freedom in being able to say whatever he wants publicly, he also feels that he and Meghan have “totally isolated themselves” because of their rift with the Royal Family.

He added that Harry and Meghan are under so much pressure to succeed in the U.S. that they are “more trapped than ever in this new life they’ve created.”

Larcombe went on to say that Harry and Meghan have caused so many problems with the Royal Family that failing would be “the ultimate humiliation” for them.

“If Netflix aren’t happy and the production doesn’t get the audiences that they’re expecting, they won’t give them another contract,” he said. “They’ve entered a commercial world and it’s cut-throat.”

Queen Is Still Incredibly Popular

In contrast to Harry and Meghan, Queen Elizabeth is more popular than ever, with the poll finding that 80 percent of the population has a favorable view of her.

Perhaps Harry and Meghan are now learning the hard way that when they took on the Queen, they picked the wrong woman to mess with.
