Cedric mocks royal family

While hosting the Emmy Awards on Sunday night, host Cedric The Entertainer took the opportunity to mock the Royal Family as he brought up Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s scandalous interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year.

Take a look at the Cedric’s opening:

During the show, Cedric touched on the Oprah interview as he ran through some television highlights over the past year.

He proceeded to take some digs at the Royal Family as he talked about the hit Netflix series “The Crown.”

“As great as The Crown is, it pales in comparison to the real monarchy,” Cedric said, according to Daily Mail. “Oooo I mean that Oprah interview with Prince Harry and Megan. That was the real tea right there, wasn’t it!?”

“Meghan must put it on that boy because he renounced his throne quicker than Eddie Murphy in Coming to America,” he continued.

Cedric Touches On Racism Claims

Not stopping there, Cedric brought up Meghan’s claims of racism within the Royal Family. In the Oprah interview, Meghan alleged that one Royal Family member, who she refused to identify by name, voiced concerns about how dark her son Archie would be before he was born.

“They need little Archie!” Cedric said. “Charles can’t dance, who else going to teach them how to TikTok. I can just see it now, baby Archie with the Queen like, ‘Come on Gammy.'”

Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah was nominated for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special, but unfortunately for them, it came up short and lost to CNN’s “Stanley Tucci: Searching For Italy.”

Royal Family Responds To Meghan And Harry

After Meghan and Harry’s Oprah interview aired in March, the Royal Family fired back with a brief statement.

“The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning,” the Royals said. “While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members.”

Speculation has mounted in the months since then as to who the “racist” Rroyal may be, with Harry and Meghan only confirming that it was neither the Queen nor Prince Philip.

Meghan and Harry’s Oprah interview in which they threw the Royal Family under the bus was nothing short of shameful, and it doesn’t deserve to be rewarded in any way.

While we’re glad that it did not win an Emmy, it’s unfortunate that the Royal Family has now become fodder for classless Hollywood leftists who love nothing more than fawning over Meghan and Harry.
