UFC On ESPN 29 Results: Jared Cannonier Tops Kelvin Gastelum

Jared Cannonier made sure to take advantage of his main event billing Saturday night.

Cannonier picked up a victory over Kelvin Gastelum in a meeting of middleweights live from the UFC Apex on ESPN and ESPN+. 

With the win, Cannonier improved to 14-5, including 4-1 over his last five. 

Mark Madsen earned his biggest win to date, pulling out a split decision over Clay Guida. An Olympic medalist in wrestling, Madsen was able to withstand the constant pressure of the veteran. 

In a heavyweight contest, Parker Porter scored a decision victory over Chase Sherman. Porter swept the scorecards, including matching 30-27s from two judges.

Saidyokub Kakhramonov submitted Trevin Jones in the third round, Vinc Pichel topped Austin Hubbard via decision and Alexandre Pantoja finished Brandon Royval.

On the prelims, Austin Lingo, Brian Kelleher, Josiane Nunes, William Knight, Ignacio Bahamondes and Ramiz Brahimaj all claimed wins.

Next up for the UFC will be UFC on ESPN 30 featuring featherweights Edson Barboza and Giga Chikadze. Like this week, the card takes place from the UFC Apex airing live on ESPN and ESPN+.
