Goldberg only has two WWE matches left on his contract and he wants one of those opponents to be John Cena. Also, Scarlett has not been with Karrion Kross on the main roster because of a medical issue.

Goldberg Vs John Cena?

John Cena has been with WWE for almost 20 years. With such a lengthy stretch, he has worked with almost all of the talent.

Although, he has never crossed paths with Goldberg. Now, there is no way of telling if Cena is even interested in that match.

As for Goldberg, he is very open to the idea. While speaking to DAZN, Goldberg revealed Cena is a dream opponent.

“[John] Cena, that’s always been a dream [match],” said Goldberg. “Never been in the ring with him.”

“We’re two completely different characters. Hey, you never know. You never know.”

For now, both superstars have high-profile matches at Saturday’s SummerSlam. Cena takes on Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Goldbergs meets WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.

After SummerSlam, the future is unclear for both. Heading into the show, neither are betting favorites to leave with gold.

Goldberg recently revealed he has two matches left on his current WWE contact. He turns 55 in December and the end of his in-ring career is likely coming.

John Cena And Goldberg’s Status After SummerSlam

Still, some fans do not mind seeing Goldberg continue wresting, so he could be offered a new deal. If Saudi Arabia wants Goldberg for one of their shows, WWE will make it happen.

As for Cena, his future after SummerSlam is little unclear. If he defies the odds and captures the belt for a record 17th time, then he is sticking around for a bit longer.

Really, it will come down to his schedule outside of pro wrestling. He loves working for WWE and seems to be enjoying his latest run after being away for 15 months.

His HBO Max TV series, Peacemaker, debuts in January of next year. Therefore, he will very busy at the end of 2021 and start of 2022 with promoting the show.

WWE has been cutting people left and right, but they would probably jump at the idea of Cena vs. Goldberg. The match would likely be short and awful.

Still, WWE would not care as they were able to cross off a dream match for many. I am okay with Cena wrestling again, although Goldberg needs to finally call it a career.

Scarlett Not Medically Cleared By WWE

While not official, Karrion Kross seems destined for the main roster. The NXT Champion has already made several appearances on TV, where he even scored a win over Jeff Hardy.

Missing from his side is Scarlett. PWInsider revealed that she is not medically cleared to compete, but they were not able to obtain more information.

They stated that she needed time off for something. Of course, that will cause people to speculate about COVID or being pregnant.

For now, we simply do not know what is up. Kross and Scarlett work well together, so hopefully she is cleared shortly.

In the meantime, Kross will defend his title this Sunday at Takeover 36 against Samoa Joe. If he loses the belt, it probably means he will officially move to the main roster.
