“The Fiend” Bray Wyatt has been released by WWE and fans are absolutely shocked.
WWE has been firing superstars and office staff like crazy. Some names were surprises like Braun Strowman and others people saw coming like Tony Nese.
Well, WWE has announced the release of Bray Wyatt. As seen in their tweet, they used their common phrase of wishing the superstar the best in their future endeavors.
Truly, a shocking move to say the least. Wyatt was well liked backstage and his gimmicks always got attention.
Over the past two years, Wyatt has been using the alter ego “The Fiend.” Similar to the Undertaker, “The Fiend” would no- sell moves.
The character started as a heel before switching to a face role. His last feud was against Randy Orton.
They feuded for months, with Orton even lighting The Fiend on fire. Upon returning, The Fiend would loss again to Orton on night two of WrestleMania 37.
On that evening, Alexa Bliss seemingly turned on Wyatt. The angle was never followed-up and Bliss continues to use her new twisted gimmick.
The night after WrestleMania, Wyatt appeared in a taped promo. He spoke in riddles and promised he would be back.
But, that never happened. Wyatt never returned to TV and now he is longer part of WWE.
Wyatt leaves WWE holding several titles. He was a tag team champion on both brands, one time WWE Champion and two time Universal Champion.
As you can imagine, fans have been very vocal about his sudden departure.
