It wasn’t that long ago when the NYPD was being hailed as heroes after 9/11. Now, not even their food is safe while they are in their uniforms. Police are on the hunt for a DoorDash driver who contaminated a NYPD officer’s meal then bragged about it on social media.

New York has seen a rise in crime and with that comes an added disrespect for law enforcement. This disgusting video highlights how police officers in the Big Apple and around the country are targeted.

DoorDash Delivers To Cop At NYPD Precinct

It all started when a police officer ordered Chipotle to be delivered to the 61st precinct.

This is something many Americans do every day usually without any repercussions.

But, this man was targeted because of his occupation. He is dedicated to protecting and serving the community and that doesn’t sit well with some people like this DoorDash driver.

The video was posted by a user with the handle So Certified. The food delivery driver uses his bare finger to bury a note inside the meal before resealing the container.

“Hope that d-k taste good bitch!” the DoorDash driver wrote. The vulgar word for the male genitalia was misspelled.

“Ya kno I’m bout to violate the s**t out this order 61st precient [sic],” the user wrote in a caption of the Facebook video.

“I dreamed of moments like this … god u been so good to me like idk how to re pay u,” he continued.

The social media video includes a screenshot from the DoorDash app telling the driver to deliver the order to the 61st Precinct’s station house.

DoorDash And Chipotle Respond

Both DoorDash and Chipotle issued statements of support for the police officer and condemnations of the driver.

DoorDash has not publicly identified the driver, but police are searching for him.

“This behavior is absolutely unacceptable and has no place in our community,” DoorDash’s spokesperson said. “We take the trust and respect of merchants, customers, and Dashers extremely seriously. We have deactivated the Dasher and have reached out to the customer involved.”

Chipotle’s chief corporate affairs officer stated “the actions displayed by this third-party delivery driver are inexcusable, and we’ve ensured our delivery partner has deactivated the individual’s account.”

We generally automatically trust the people who make our food or bring it to us. But in this day and age, police officers have to be cautious. It’s disgusting to think anyone is targeted in this manner.
