Harry and Prince William commissioned the statue which will be unveiled on July 1st. It’s anticipated to be an awkward time for the princely brothers who were only together briefly for their grandfather’s funeral.

Prince Harry Is Quarantining
Prince Harry is currently quarantining at Frogmore Cottage, where he lived with Meghan and Archie before fleeing for North America. He has to quarantine for five days.
Harry still publicly complains about royal life. Despite that, a royal convoy of vehicles picked him up from Heathrow Airport.
Kensington Palace confirmed Harry’s attendance in a statement.
“Prince William and Prince Harry will attend a small event to mark the unveiling of a statue they commissioned of their mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace on Thursday, July 1,” it reads.
“In addition to close family of Diana, Princess of Wales, members of the statue committee, the sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley, and garden designer, Pip Morrison, will also be present. Further details about the statue and garden will be provided on July 1,” the statement continues.

Princess Diana Statue
The statue unveiling at Kensington Palace has been dramatically scaled back.
The ceremony was to be rather elaborate but now only will have a handful of guests mainly comprised of Spencer family relatives and Princes William and Harry.
The statue has been many years in the making. There were some problems early on determining what time of Diana’s life it would represent. It was initially to be unveiled in 2018 but Harry and Meghan’s wedding and Megxit delayed it to these more challenging times.
There will be a larger celebration in September. It is unknown if Prince Harry will return then.
