James Woods Praises Queen Elizabeth For Honoring Fallen Heroes On D-Day After Biden Ignores Anniversary

James Woods, who is one of the few openly conservative actors in Hollywood, took to social media on Monday to praise Queen Elizabeth for honoring the fallen heroes of D-Day on the 77th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Normandy.

This came after President Joe Biden didn’t reference D-Day at all on the anniversary on Sunday.

James Woods Praises Queen – Calls Out Biden

“Here is a real world leader honoring the fallen heroes of D-Day yesterday. The White House completely ignored any mention of the invasion that saved the world,” Woods wrote alongside the statement put out by the Queen marking the D-Day anniversary.

Biden came under fire from veterans after he did not acknowledge D-Day in any way on Sunday.

“As a veteran I find it reprehensible that the president ends his speeches with ‘God bless the troops,’ which now seems to be in words only. He blatantly forgot to acknowledge the tremendous sacrifice of our greatest generation,” an unnamed Afghanistan and Iraq wars veteran told Fox News.

Queen Respects D-Day’s Fallen Heroes

In contrast, the Queen made sure to honor those who died on D-Day. Even though the anniversary came at a hectic time for her family, she made time. Her grandson Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle had announced the birth of their daughter that very same day.

The 95-year-old Queen would have been forgiven if she had too much on her mind to pay tribute to the fallen heroes of D-Day, yet she still went above and beyond to do so.

Queen Elizabeth was 18 years old on D-Day. And, it is something that has stuck with her all her life.

To mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day in 2019, the Queen gave a stirring speech that makes it clear how much the sacrifices made by those who died that day continues to mean to her.

Queen Gives Stirring Speech

“When I attended the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the D-Day Landings, some thought it might be the last such event,” the Queen said at the time. “But the wartime generation—my generation—is resilient, and I am delighted to be with you in Portsmouth today.”

“Seventy-five years ago, hundreds of thousands of young soldiers, sailors and airmen left these shores in the cause of freedom,” she continued. “Many of them would never return, and the heroism, courage and sacrifice of those who lost their lives will never be forgotten. It is with humility and pleasure, on behalf of the entire country—indeed the whole free world—that I say to you all, thank you.”

The members of the British public have a leader who respects and honors the sacrifices made by the fallen heroes if D-Day.

If only Americans had the same.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
