Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their second child very soon and there’s quite a bit of speculation about what baby name they will choose for their new daughter. There’s also big news on when the Royal Family and the rest of the world might get to meet her.
Some royal watchers believe they will name their daughter Phillipa as a nod to Queen Elizabeth’s late husband Prince Philip. However, there’s a deeper, hidden meaning to the name that may be swaying Meghan.
It could also be a hat tip to the first Black Queen of England. Philippa of Hainault was the wife of King Edward III.
Philippa was known as “the most gentle Queen, most liberal, and most courteous that ever was Queen in her days.”
Harry and Meghan accused the Royal family of racism in their bombshell interview with Oprah. And, Harry went on to talk about neglect in the docuseries with Oprah as well. Seems they are willing to ‘spill the tea’ about everything with Oprah.

Choosing the name Phillipa would address their concerns along with the bonus of including the Duke of Edinburgh’s name. Earlier this year, both Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall gave their baby boys the middle name Philip paying tribute to their grandfather.
However, other royal watchers think they may choose another name altogether – one that directly honors Queen Elizabeth.
It’s thought the California couple are considering calling their second child Lily.
It’s a nod to the Queen’s nickname Lillibet.
“It would be a lovely nod to the Queen who was known as Lillibet during her childhood, but it’s also always been one of Harry’s favourite names.”
And, of course some people are really hoping they call her Diana, but I don’t expect they will do that.
The Queen is getting ready to celebrate her birthday with a scaled Trooping The Colour ceremony. She will be accompanied by her cousin the Duke of Kent, Prince Edward, so she will not be alone.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be attending this year for obvious reasons.
Next year, Queen Elizabeth will be celebrating her 70th year as monarch and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be invited to the Platinum Jubilee. Queen Elizabeth is the longest serving British monarch and this will be the first Platinum Jubilee for the monarchy. She took the throne on 6th February 1952, when she was 25 years old.
An insider said of the royal exiles “Of course they’re invited, it’s a family event!”

It was pointed out that Harry wore his Jubilee medals to Prince Philip’s funeral this spring.
Earlier this week, Buckingham Palace released some event details for the Jubilee. There will be plenty of community activities and community events.
If Meghan and Harry do attend next year, it would likely be their Royal debut as a family.
