As her cyberbullying scandal continues to worsen and she seemingly gets closer and closer to permanent cancellation, disgraced supermodel Chrissy Teigen has decided to step away from her company Safely. It’s a home cleaning product line that she started with Kris Jenner in March.

Teigen Steps Away From Safely

“Chrissy will be stepping away from Safely to take much needed time to focus on herself and be with her family,” read a statement posted to the company’s Instagram on Monday. “We fully support her decision and are so thankful for her contributions.”

“The brand will continue to move forward and focus on our important mission of bringing high quality, hard-working cleaning products to all American households,” the statement added.

Three months ago Teigen launched the “plant-powered” cleaning product brand with Jenner and Good American co-founder Emma Gred.

At the time, the women seemed very excited about the venture, as you can see in their announcement of the launch below.

Jenner In Panic Mode As Sales Plummet

Since then, much has changed.

When Teigen was accused of bullying celebrities like Courtney Stodden and Lindsey Lohan online, sales for Safely reportedly plummeted. Falling sales sent Jenner into panic mode.

“Kris Jenner has been in crisis mode for weeks with Chrissy’s scandal,” a source recently told The Sun before Teigen stepped away from the company. “She likes Chrissy but she’s a numbers girl first and their sales tanked after all of Chrissy’s tweets came out.”

“It’s the worst case scenario for them, they just launched their cleaning brand days before the scandal,” the insider added, going on to say that the “company has had to completely change it’s marketing strategy” because their “whole plan was to focus on the homes and families of Kris and Chrissy.”

“They know they can’t show Chrissy anymore but her with her kids was originally the whole appeal of the brand,” the source explained. “It’s been a very pricey mistake.”

Jenner is the ex-wife of Caitlyn Jenner, who is currently running for governor of California. Teigen is married to the singer John Legend, with whom she has two young children. Jenner is also mother to the Kardashian brood, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob, from her marriage to Robert Kardashian.

She’s now getting a taste of her own medicine.
