The announcement that SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk will be hosting “Saturday Night Live” did not sit well with some cast members. It was so upsetting that SNL is reportedly offering a safe space to those who are triggered by the popular CEO.

The “Tesla” CEO will be on SNL on May 8th with musical guest Miley Cyrus.

Third Wealthiest Person In The World

This news didn’t sit well with some cast members who don’t feel comfortable sharing a stage with the third wealthiest person on the planet.

Elon Musk also doesn’t subscribe to liberal group think, adding another dynamic to the situation.

From The Blaze:

“SNL” cast member Bowen Yang took a screen capture of Musk’s tweet and replied, “What the f*** does this even mean?”

“SNL” writer Andrew Dismukes reacted on Instagram by saying, “Only CEO I want to do a sketch with is Cher-E Oteri,” a reference to “Saturday Night Live” alum Cheri Oteri.

After the news of one of the richest people on the planet set to host the comedy show, longtime “SNL” cast member Aidy Bryant reposted a tweet by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) that said, “The 50 wealthiest people in America today own more wealth than the bottom half of our people. Let me repeat that, because it is almost too absurd to believe: the 50 wealthiest people in this country own more wealth than some 165 MILLION Americans. That is a moral obscenity.”

Yang, Dismuskes, and Bryant have deleted their agitated online comments about the upcoming host. But, their hypocrisy would make an excellent SNL skit. Musk is a self-made man and an immigrant while Aidy Bryant had a privileged childhood and elite entertainer.

Safe Space For ‘SNL’ Cast Members

These sensitive entertainers don’t have much to fear.

NBC is protecting the fragile egos of the “Saturday Night Live” staff and cast members.

When Musk threw out a Tweet asking for ‘skit’ ideas, it went as well as could be expected.

If they can’t handle sharing a stage with someone who doesn’t share the same viewpoints, they are able to skip it.

They are free to remain in their liberal bubble to which many entertainers cling.

“Speaking historically, if a cast member has been that unhappy, they don’t have to do it,” an insider said. “[‘SNL’ boss Lorne Michaels] won’t ever make them do anything they don’t want to do.”
