Judge Judy Knocks Cancel Culture, She’s ‘Not A Big Fan Of The PC Police’
Judy Sheindlin better known as television personality Judge Judy just torched cancel culture, saying she's "not a big fan of the PC police."
Judge Judy Sheindlin has always been one to tell it like it is, which is why it likely did not come as a surprise to her fans when she spoke out this week to slam cancel culture.
Sheindlin Sounds Off On Cancel Culture
Sheindlin went on to explain that her issue with cancel culture is that it has made America “a frightening place to be” because people are now afraid to express their true and authentic opinions.
“To have a fear of speaking your opinion, for fear of being put on somebody’s list and canceled? It’s a frightening place for America to be,” Sheindlin, 78, told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m not a big fan of the PC police.”
“Is it PC to say to people who are 19 or 23 years old, have no job, no prospects and six children, ‘Find something else to do with that organ?’ No. But where I come from, I’ve seen the ravages of that kind of neglect,” she continued.
Judge Judy Sees Some Positives Of Cancel Culture
However, Sheindlin can also see the good side of cancel culture. She likes seeing people be held accountable for their actions when they’ve actually done something wrong.
“If you’re a bad person, if you’ve done something wrong, you’ve got to be prepared to pay the piper,” she explained. “And there are people who have done just that. They’ve paid the price with their good name, their footprint. That’s a good thing.”

With “Judge Judy” ending, Sheindlin’s is kicking of a new show “Justice Judy” on a new platform. She’ll be on Amazon’s free streaming service IMDb TV. Earning $47 million per season, Sheindlin is one of the richest judges in the world, but she said she had no trouble negotiating her payment with Amazon.
“Without giving you specifics, because that’s a little unseemly, my compensation has not been a secret,” she said. “It’s been out there for a long time – not by me, but it got out there and had its own life. So, the folks at Amazon understood what the parameters were. There was no issue.”
Sheindlin Talks Expanding Supreme Court
During this same interview, Sheindlin was asked how she feels about possibly expanding the Supreme Court.
“It’s a dumb idea,” she said. “We’ve worked brilliantly in this country with the Supreme Court exactly the way it is. Changing it makes absolutely no sense to me, except politically. As vacancies become available, the next crop may represent one view and it may not. Judges very often become chameleons when they take the bench.”

In the end, Judy Sheindlin feels that she still has the same message for America that she’s always had.
“My message has been the same for half a century: ‘Pick up your trash. Don’t expect me to pick up after you,'” she stated. “This country goes to the left and to the right but eventually comes back to the center. You just have to hope that you can withstand those swings, that you can get back to a reasonable place where everybody has the opportunity to realize the American dream like me.”
If you haven’t seen one of Judge Judy’s famous take downs in a while, this one shows off her fiery spirit.
Sheindlin certainly is not one to mince words! It’s nice to see that she’s just as fiery as ever, and that she’s still not tolerating any BS whatsoever.
