People are rallying around an Idaho police officer who was suspended after his video mocking LeBron James went viral. A GoFundMe account established to support Officer Nate Silvester has busted through its goal more than once!

LeBron’s Ma’Khia Bryant Tweet

LeBron faced tremendous backlash after he tweeted a picture of the Columbus Police Officer who shot and killed Ma’Khia Bryant as the teen attempted to stab another girl.

It was viewed as a threat to the cop who saved another child’s life.

LeBron ended up deleting the tweet without issuing an apology.

But, that didn’t end the controversy.

Silvester created viral TikTok mocking LeBron that racked up over 4.5 million views. In the video, the police officer was in his uniform asking LeBron how he should react to police calls.

The officer was taking a break when he made the video, but that didn’t prevent him from being suspended from Bellevue Marshal’s Office.

GoFundMe Donations For Suspended Officer

People wanted to support the officer after his suspension.

A friend of Silvester set up a GoFundMe and the response has been tremendous. At the time of this writing, almost $400,000 has been donated.

Blown away by the generosity of the general public, Silvester asked that the funds be shared with The First Responders Children’s Foundation. This is a charity for the families of fallen officers and first responders.

Nate Silvester also made another video. This one was filled with gratitude. He stated that he now realizes that most people are amazing and generous. This GoFundMe is a great show of support for our police officers and their families.

While a suspension is not something a police officer wants on his record, the outpouring of support from people across the country is a huge morale booster.

Silvester isn’t the only LeBron critic who has been rewarded for taking on King James. An Ohio bar will no longer show NBA games until LeBron James is expelled from the league. That bar’s business is booming as a result of the announcement.
