Tom Brady Says Bring On The Hate! Criticism Only Helps To Drive Him

In an interview with “Good Morning America” this week, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady sent a message to his naysayers. He also praised his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen.

Take a look:

Brady Sends Message To His Haters – They Motivate Him

Brady told “Good Morning America” host Michael Strahan that his haters have always motivated him to succeed even more.

“I was always kind of motivated by people that say, ‘You can’t do it.’ You know, ‘You’re not good enough, you’re not fast enough, not big enough, you’re not good enough arm,’” Brady explained. “I’ve had a body of work over a period of time, so you know, you just say, hey [and] quickly you forget.”

“I think that’s a great part about football,” he added. “It’s not really about what you did last year, it’s kind of what you’re going to do this year, so for me it was what I was going to do for the Bucs last year. I still feel that way.”

Tom Brady played for the New England Patriots for 20 seasons before going to the Bucs. He holds the NFL-record of 10 Super Bowl appearances, winning 7 of them.

Brady Discusses Gisele And His Family

In this same interview, Brady credited Gisele with keeping their marriage strong.

“I give her a lot of credit for that,” said Brady. “She’s the one that, you know, supports the family and, at the end of the day, makes a lot of sacrifices. She brings out the best version of me.”

Brady shares two children with Bundchen son Benjamin Rein, 11, and daughter Vivian Lake, 8.

He is also father to his 13-year-old son John “Jack” Edward with his ex Bridget Moynahan.

Though his children are growing up with tons of advantages in life, Brady is determined to keep them “grounded” and make sure that they know they need to “work hard” in life.

“Mom and Dad’s life is very unique in this world,” he explained. “I don’t want them to take those things for granted. I want them to make the impact in the world that they’re gonna make. But they’re gonna make it in their way, too.”

Brady Talks Tossing Lombardi Trophy

Later in the interview, Brady admitted that tossing the Lombardi Trophy from boat-to-boat during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl parade was not the best idea.

“I mean, that was not smart for a couple of reasons,” said Brady. “One is, if we drop it, that’s a little bit of a problem. But, the worst thing that could happen is the edges on that trophy are so sharp — and had those things clipped one of my boys in the other boat, it would have been an ugly, ugly parade.”

Thankfully, the trophy did not fall in the water or hurt anyone!

All’s well that ends well, I guess!

It’s nice to see Brady be so open about his life. He is clearly a blessed man in a variety of different ways.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
