New images of Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem have just come out from the set of the upcoming biopic Being the Ricardos, which will tell the story of the iconic couple that was Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.
The new photos are sure to have fans very excited about how stars Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem will bring the “I Love Lucy” legends to life on the big screen!
New Photos From Set Of Being The Ricardos
The photos show the two actors decked out in classic, retro 1950s outfits, with Kidman in an outfit that includes yellow slacks, a checkered coat, and a scarf around her head.
Meanwhile, Bardem was in outfit that was a bit more formal wearing a suit with a green jacket.
The two stars seem to be having fun on set. It looks like Kidman was cracking a joke that made her costar burst out laughing.
As comedic legends, Ball and Arnaz would certainly be glad to see the two stars having fun on set while they bring them back to life!

Aaron Sorkin Speaks Out
The feature film is being directed by Aaron Sorkin, the creator of the television show “The West Wing.”
He recently told Entertainment Tonight that he is sure that Kidman and Bardem are “going to be fantastic” in the movie, responding to backlash from fans about each of the casting choices.
“I think that the people thought that we’ve cast them as Lucy and Ricky Ricardo,” Sorkin explained. “The film takes place during a production week of ‘I Love Lucy’ — a Monday table read to Friday audience taping, with a whole bunch of long flashbacks which are telling the story that got us here — and because there’s a table read, there’s rehearsals and then there’s tape night, we do see moments of them being Lucy and Ricky Ricardo.”
“We see moments from an episode of ‘I Love Lucy,'” he added. “But mostly they are playing Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball. And they’re going to be fantastic. These are two of the greatest actors ever.”

Kidman Is Doing Her Homework
Kidman, an Academy Award-winner, told Variety that she is doing her homework and studying Ball work to ensure that her portrayal of the late star is accurate.
“I love Lucille, having looked now and delved into her,” Kidman said. “She’s an amazing woman. I’m very excited for people to see what Aaron found out about her and the way he’s interpreted Desi and Lucy and the way that it’s so rich. I didn’t know any of this.”
Judging from the latest photos from the set, it seems that Kidman really is going all out to bring Ball to life in the best way possible.
We can’t wait to see this movie when it eventually comes out!
