Chris Pratt Is Fired Up About His Navy SEAL Costars As Filming Starts On New Military Conspiracy Thriller “The Terminal List”

Chris Pratt has once again proven himself to be one of the most pro America actors in Hollywood. He’s starring in Amazon’s series The Terminal List which follows a Navy SEAL James Reece after his entire platoon is ambushed in a covert mission.

Reece finds himself questioning both his memories and culpability. He’s drawn into a dubious conspiracy when he finds out there are forces in play working against him. It will be Pratt’s first return to the small screen in a recurring role since “Parks and Recreation.”

The Terminal List

The Terminal List is based on the first book in a best-selling, four-book series written by Jack Carr.

From OffialJackCarr:

Jack Carr led special operations teams as a Team Leader, Platoon Commander, Troop Commander and Task Unit Commander. Over his 20 years in Naval Special Warfare he transitioned from an enlisted SEAL sniper, to a junior officer leading assault and sniper teams in Iraq and Afghanistan, to a platoon commander practicing counterinsurgency in the southern Philippines, to commanding a Special Operations Task Unit in the most Iranian influenced section of southern Iraq throughout the tumultuous drawdown of U.S. Forces.

It also is the first project from Pratt’s own company Indivisible Productions. This show is a family affair as Pratt’s brother-in-law Patrick Schwarzenegger also stars in the thriller.

Patrick Schwarzenegger’s character Donny Mitchell is Reece’s ‘fresh out of training’ colleague. He’s the ‘baby-faced youngest team member’ of the platoon.

The Terminal List is directed by Antoine Fuqua and also stars Constance Wu, Riley Keough, Taylor Kitsch, and Jeanne Tripplehorn.

BACKSTORY: Chris Pratt Launches Hollywood Production Company With Pledge of Allegiance Theme

Pratt shared a photo on Instagram from the set that got quite a bit of attention.

He was surrounded by Navy SEALs. And many of these SEALs aren’t just actors. They are also the real deal. Indivisible Productions has hired actual veterans for many of these roles.

Pratt Honors SEALs

“Our world balances between light and dark. And though it feels precarious, it was created that way. We are called, each of us, to be of some service- to be light. Few answer the call. And fewer yet to the degree of the Warfare Special Operator. It has been my great honor to work alongside the men in this photo. Many of whom are actual Navy Seals. As far as men go, it is my opinion there are none equal to the SEAL,” Pratt writes in the Instagram post below.

“I’m trying my hardest to portray James Reece in a believable way. With enough smoke and mirrors and technical advice from the men who’ve lived it, we’ll fake it just enough to tell the incredible story.”

If you take a close look, you’ll notice that Chris Pratt is standing in the middle of that picture.

Pratt’s Indivisible Productions

Pratt refuses to apologize for his patriotism or his Christian faith.

It’s a central part of who he is and it’s why he has so many fans. He’s elevating that to another level with the help of his new production company.

Last month as filming for The Terminal List began, Pratt acknowledged how fortunate he has been to be true to himself while remaining in Tinseltown.

Hard works pays off, even in Hollywood.

“This is the first of many projects coming through my producing entity, Indivisible Productions. I look around and see the trailers, the trucks, the cast and crew, hundreds of masked and shielded Angelenos getting back to work, adhering strictly to our covid protocols, and I look at the mountain of work ahead of us and my heart just swells,” Pratt told Instagram followers.

“It’s hard to believe. 20 years ago I was a dude with a dream living in a van. I moved to LA with one sweater, two pairs of shorts and some rollerblades in a duffel bag. So… needless to say, this town has been good to me,” he continued in the post below. “I’m grateful. Hollywood gets a bad wrap. We have our share of weirdos and no shortage of whackos. But it makes room for talent, hard work and a willingness to never be stop learning. I’m still hungry, eager to grow and determined to surprise you.”

Here’s a brief promo about the series:

Indivisible Productions will likely be very busy for years to come following the release of The Terminal List.
