In the liberal world of Hollywood, abortion is so celebrated that it is considered risky to an actor’s career to even say anything that is remotely pro-life. That’s why it came as a welcome surprise when Chris Pratt of Guardians Of The Galaxy fame defied Hollywood norms by posting a pro-life message online after the birth of his daughter.
Back in August, Pratt welcomed his daughter Lyla Maria with his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger.
“We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. We couldn’t be happier and we feel extremely blessed,” Pratt, who is a Christian, wrote on Instagram after the baby was born.
Chris Pratt Posts Pro-Life Message After His Daughter’s Birth
Pratt then shocked everyone when he referenced two Bible passages that are often associated with the pro-life movement.
The Jurassic World star first shared first Psalm 126:3, which reads, “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”
Not stopping there, Pratt then shared Psalm 127:3-4.
The Psalm reads, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.”

Chris Pratt Defends His Church
Pratt has long been known as one of the most devoutly Christian A-list stars in Hollywood.
Last year, he spoke out to defend his church, L.A.’s Zoe Church, after it was accused of being “famously anti-LGBTQ.”
“It has recently been suggested that I belong to a church which ‘hates people’ and is ‘infamously anti-LGBTQ,'” Pratt fired back on Instagram. “Nothing could be further from the truth. I go to a church that opens their doors to absolutely everyone.’
“Despite what the Bible says about divorce my church community was there for me every step of the way, never judging, just gracefully accompanying me on my walk,” he continued.
“They helped me tremendously offering love and support. It is what I have seen them do for others on countless occasions regardless of sexual orientation, race or gender.”

Faith Is Important To Him
“My faith is important to me but no church defines me or my life, and I am not a spokesman for any church or group of people,” Pratt added.
“My values define who I am. We need less hate in this world, not more. I am a man who believes that everyone is entitled to love who they want free from the judgement of their fellow man.”
