Sharon Osbourne Backs Down After Defending Piers Morgan, He Fires Back Saying She Was ‘Shamed And Bullied’

Yesterday, we reported that “The Talk” had exploded when Sharon Osbourne dared to defend her friend Piers Morgan after he was accused of being racist for criticizing Meghan Markle.

Unfortunately, after much public backlash from offended liberals, Osbourne backed down.

She has now apologized for standing by her friend.

Meanwhile, Piers Morgan has already fired back by saying she’s been “shamed and bullied into apologizing.”

Osbourne Apologizes

In the early hours of Friday morning, Osbourne took to Twitter to post a lengthy apology.

“After some reflection, after sitting with your comments and sitting with my heart I would like to address the discussion on ‘The Talk’ this past Wednesday,’ she began. “I have always been embraced with so much love and support from the Black community and I have deep respect and love for the Black community.

“To anyone of color that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said, I am truly sorry,” Osbourne added. “I panicked, felt blindsided, got defensive and allowed my fear and horror of being accused of being racist take over. There are very few things that hurt my heart more than racism so to feel associated with that spun me fast! I am not perfect, I am still learning like the rest of us and will continue to learn, listen and do better.”

Osbourne went on to say that she does “not condone racism, misogyny or bullying.”

” I should have been more specific about that in my tweet,” she said. “I will always support freedom of speech, but now I see how I unintentionally didn’t make that clear distinction.”

Osbourne Continues To Grovel

As if that wasn’t all groveling enough, Osbourne took her apology to a whole new level with her conclusion:

“I hope we can collectively continue to learn from each other and from ourselves so we can all continue to pave the way for much needed growth and change. The community on this platform means a lot to me. I hope we can all hold each other up with accountability, compassion and love during this powerful time of paving the way for so much needed change.”

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
