This year will mark 15 years since the legendary Australian zookeeper and television personality Steve Irwin passed away. He is still missed by millions of fans from all over the globe. But, nobody misses Steve more than his widow, Terri, and their two children, Bindi and Robert.
Bindi Irwin Pregnant With Baby Girl
Bindi is all grown up now, and she’s expecting her first child with her husband Chandler Powell.
In the lead-up to the new season of their show “Crikey! It’s the Irwins,” the Irwin family told Entertainment Tonight that Steve would’ve been “over the moon” to have his first granddaughter.
Bindi and Chandler are expecting a girl; her due date is sometime at the end of March or beginning of April.

“He would’ve been a good, good grandpa. Yeah, he really would’ve been,” Bindi said. “I don’t think we would’ve ever seen our daughter. He would’ve just whisked her away into the zoo and it would’ve been perfect. But it is so nice that we’ll be able to introduce her to her grandfather through all of the documentaries. It’s really special.”
“He’d be over the moon,” Terri said. “I will say one thing for sure is you would never have to wonder what he would’ve worn during any of the milestones. He would’ve worn khaki to the wedding, khaki to everything.”

Robert Irwin Joined In The Speculation
Robert then chimed in to say his dad would be “insanely excited” to meet their family’s newest member.
“I think it’s really special that as a family we get to remember him, honor him in absolutely everything that we do,” he said. “And make sure that that legacy never, ever dies no matter what. And now with a new little wildlife warrior taking on the charge, he would just be insanely excited. I can’t even imagine. It’d be amazing!”
Robert himself can’t wait to become an uncle, as he already plans to spoil his niece rotten!
“I am just so excited! I can’t wait to just throw her in with absolutely everything. She is gonna be — ah, I’m so excited!” he exclaimed. “She can have whatever she wants and do whatever she wants! It’s gonna be awesome.”

Bindi Reveals Why She’s Not Nervous About Giving Birth
Many new moms are nervous about giving birth for the first time, but not Bindi.
She’s seen so many animals give birth at her family’s Australia Zoo that labor does not scare her at all.
“‘I’ve watched so many giraffes give birth and mother giraffes actually give birth standing up and the poor little calf has to drop so far to the ground,” Bindi said. “And you know it’s a little bit terrifying when you watch that. So I figure, as long as it’s easier than a giraffe birth, I’ll be fine.”
Steve would undoubtedly be so proud of his family if he were alive today.
He is definitely smiling down on them from Heaven. And, he’ll be with Bindi in spirit when she gives birth to her baby girl.
