According to former boxing heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, only the final details need to be worked out to make his trilogy bout with Mike Tyson official.
After Tyson returned and met Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition match, Holyfield let it be known that he wanted to face Tyson next.
In an interview with Brian Custer on the Last Stand Podcast, Holyfield revealed details about the planned bout.
“I think it would be a lot of money,” Holyfield said (thanks to World Boxing News for the quotes). “A lot of millions. I believe 100 million. “The fight would be big because so many people want the fight.”
Holyfield also discussed the infamous match that left a memorable mark on the world of professional boxing, explaining why he did not retaliate and more in the interview.
So boxing – and MMA fans – is this something you want to see? A third meeting between two of the great heavyweight boxing champions of all-time?
