Melania Trump First Lady

Melania Trump is no longer the First Lady yet Hollywood types can’t stop attacking her and making xenophobic remarks.

Joe Biden’s calls for “unity” are falling flat among some of his Tinseltown supporters. It didn’t take long for actors Tim Matheson and Jim Carrey to put their feet in their mouths for continuing to attack former First Lady Melania Trump after she left the White House.

Matheson got himself in the most trouble by mocking Melania’s accent. The former First Lady is fluent in multiple languages. English is not her native tongue, so she has an accent. And, this does not sit well with the “Animal House” star.

Matheson Mocked Melania Trump’s Accent

Matheson responded to a NBC News tweet reporting how Jill Biden took goodies to National Guardsmen after it was reported some were ordered to rest in a parking garage.

“So wonderful to have a First Lady with class and heart. And, can speak English!” the actor enthusiastically tweeted.

The backlash was rather swift for Matheson.

Democrats like to fashion themselves as being pro-immigrant and he was mocking one for her accent.

He was quickly called out for his xenophobia and hypocrisy. He deleted the tweet but as you can see below, screenshots obviously exist.

Matheson didn’t learn from Bette Midler’s mistake last year during the RNC. Midler tweeted “Oh, God. She still can’t speak English.” Her xenophobia was swiftly called out.

The “West Wing” actor ended up tweeting an apology for his original comments. Had he been a Republican, cancel culture likely would have taken aim at him.

But, since he belongs to Liberal Hollywood, his apology is likely enough for the outrage brigade.

“This morning I made a hasty and stupid joke about the former First Lady,” he wrote. “It wasn’t funny, and it was in poor taste. It was regretful and humorless and I apologize.”

Jim Carrey Faces Bullying Accusations

Matheson isn’t the only one facing backlash for an attack on our former First Lady. Jim Carrey aggressively went after her on Twitter.

“Oh… and goodbye worst first lady,” he tweeted along with an unflattering painting he made of Melania.  “I hope the settlement can finance your life in the shallow end. Thx for nothing.”

The “Dumb and Dumber” actor was repeatedly told he was bullying and being sexist. However, Carrey did not delete his tweet about Melania.

There are a plethora of Carrey fans who find his depiction of Melania spot on, and others who are appalled.
