Meghan Markle Prince Harry Spotify Podcast Poll YouGov

Last week, we reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had scored yet another entertainment deal, this time to host a “woke” podcast on Spotify. Unfortunately for them, however, their big score has already backfired on them in a humiliating way. A new poll shows that the vast majority of Brits have no interest in Meghan Markle’s new podcast.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Hit With Humiliating Poll

The big Spotify deal must have caught the attention of  YouGov, a global public opinion and data company. Last week, the polling company decided to find out the public’s opinion of Meghan and Harry’s podcast plans.

The YouGov poll asked the public, “Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have announced that they have signed a multi-year deal with Spotify to host and produce exclusive podcasts. How interested are you, if at all, in listening to this?”

A whopping 89 percent of responders said that they were not interested in the Royal couple’s podcast, with 77% saying they were “not interested at all” and 12 percent saying “I am not very interested.”

What makes this even more embarrassing for Meghan and Harry is the fact that just 2 percent said “I am very interested” and 5 percent said “I am fairly interested.”

Only 4 percent of those who responded said that they didn’t know if they were interested of not, which indicates that there is not much of a scope to rebalance their results.

Meghan And Harry Promote Spotify Podcast

These numbers will undoubtedly come as a crushing blow to Meghan and Harry, who could barely contain their excitement when they announced their podcast last week.

“One of the things my husband and I have always talked about is our passion for meeting people and hearing their stories,” Meghan said as she announced the podcast. “And no matter what the story, they usually offer you an understanding of where someone else is coming from. And, at the same time, reminds you in some way of a story about yourself.”

“That’s what this project is all about, to bring forward different perspectives and voices that, perhaps, you haven’t heard before and find out the common ground,” Harry added. “Because, when that happens, change really is possible.”

“We’re talking to some amazing people,” Meghan later added. “They’re going to share their memories that have really helped shape this last year, which has been, as we know, a difficult one for everyone.”

“So many people have been through so much pain this year, experiencing loss, a huge amount of uncertainty, but it feels worth acknowledging that 2020 has connected us in ways we could have never imagined through endless acts of compassion and kindness,” Harry adds.

Meghan concluded, “What really matters is clearer now more than ever.”

Nobody Is Buying What They’re Selling

Perhaps much of the lack of interest in Meghan and Harry’s podcast could be that the public knows it will actually consist of them lecturing us about their radically liberal politics in every episode.

They can try to make the podcast sound as bipartisan as they want to, but nobody is buying it, as we all know that Meghan and Harry see this podcast as yet another tool to shove their “woke” views down our collective throats.

If it’s not too late, Spotify might want to rethink this deal, because it seems like nobody will be listening to this “royal” podcast after all.
