Kevin Sorbo, the devoutly Christian actor of “Hercules” fame, slammed Governor Newsom’s strict new lockdown measures in California on Twitter. He also ripped into the latest lockdown measures put in place in Pennsylvania, where there is now a mandate that masks must be worn indoors, even in private homes.
It should be noted that both of these states are run by Democratic governors. Go figure.
California’s New COVID Restrictions
Earlier this week, California’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom announced a statewide “limited Stay at Home Order” that will be in place for a month amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
Newsom upgrading California’s lockdown order to a stay-at-home grabbed the attention of Hollywood actor Kevin Sorbo.
“Due to the rise in #COVID19 cases, CA is issuing a limited Stay at Home Order. Non-essential work and gatherings must stop from 10pm-5am in counties in the purple tier,” Newsom tweeted.
“This will take effect at 10pm on Saturday and remain for 1 month. Together — we can flatten the curve again.”

Gov. Newsom later added in a statement:
“The virus is spreading at a pace we haven’t seen since the start of this pandemic, and the next several days and weeks will be critical to stop the surge. We are sounding the alarm. It is crucial that we act to decrease transmission and slow hospitalizations before the death count surges. We’ve done it before and we must do it again.”
Kevin Sorbo Fires At California’s Governor Newsom
62-year-old Sorbo, however, was not having any of it.
“I almost got Covid back in august, thankfully I made it back to my house at 9:58 PM, right before the 10 PM curfew,” he tweeted.
The actor later added in a second tweet, “If the first lockdown worked, why do we need a second one? If the first lockdown didn’t work, why would we do a second one? Just asking[.]”

Kevin Sorbo Takes Aim Pennsylvania’s Lockdown Measures
Sorbo also went after Pennsylvania, which announced strict new lockdown measures this week.
Dr. Rachel Levine, Pennsylvania’s health secretary, shockingly revealed that masks are required in private homes in the state when people from different households are gathered there.
Sorbo was not having any of this nonsense either, however.
“So in Pennsylvania you have to wear a mask inside your own home,” he tweeted. “How exactly will they enforce that? I smell the stench of an overreaching government.”

It’s become painfully obvious that Democrats like Newsom and Pennsylvania’s Governor Tom Wolf are shamelessly using this pandemic to try and control every aspect of our lives.
Unlike most of Hollywood, which is frankly made up of liberal sheep at this point, Kevin Sorbo sees right through what they are doing.
God bless him for using the platform that he has to fight back.
