Bellator 252: Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Destroys Pedro Carvalho

Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire demonstrated once again tonight why he’s one of planet’s greatest fighters, as the featherweight and lightweight champ quickly put away Pedro Carvalho.

Round one

Carvalho came out pressuring right away and the featherweights fired a few kicks at each other. Moments later, Pitbull tagged Carvalho with a nice left that snapped back his head. After a clinch battle, Pitbull scored a flash knockdown with a right hook and followed up with a guillotine choke. Carvalho worked his way up and out.

Not long after, Pitbull sent Carvalho to the deck with another vicious combo, and that was that. Wow.

With the win, Freire advances to a semifinal fight with Emmanuel Sanchez in the featherweight grand prix.
