It remains to be seen if Markus Perez can score a big win at UFC Fight Island 5, but the middleweight made sure his weigh-in today was a memorable one…
Perez was back as “The Joker”
As you can see by watching the clip below, the Brazilian fighter showed up for his face-off with Dricus Du Plessis as a pretty spot on “Joker”.

Weigh-ins aside, Perez (12-3) is looking to return to the win column, as he’s coming off a decision loss to Wellington Turman in November. Perez has gone 2-3 to date in the UFC, so, he could be in a must-win situation.
Due Plessis (14-2), meanwhile, is a South African fighter who will be making his UFC debut. The middleweight has won two straight.
Moraes and Sandhagen faceoff
In Saturday’s main event, Marlon Moraes will throw hands with fellow bantamweight contender, Cory Sandhagen. The two had a respectful, face-off today after weighing in.
