Donald Trump Kim Kardashian criminal justice reform Kanye West David Letterman Netflix

Mrs. Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, refused to take David Letterman’s bait and say anything bad about her partner in criminal justice reform, President Trump.

Letterman even rolled out the red carpet to give her the opportunity to slam the Commander-in-Chief but the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star and wife of 2020 independent candidate Kanye West chose to be gracious instead.

Kim Kardashian And Trump Tackle Criminal Justice Reform

Kim Kardashian sat down with David Letterman for his Netflix special “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.”

In the interview, she discussed her work on criminal justice reform that she did with the Trump White House.

Kardashian was warned at the time that her celebrity status and reputation could be ruined for working and aligning with Trump on any level.

Still, she stuck to her guns.

In fact, Kardashian even worked directly with President Trump to get Alice Johnson released from prison.

Johnson is a great-grandmother who was sentenced to life in prison for a nonviolent drug crime.

Her sentence was viewed as being unjustly harsh and Trump cut through the red tape after Kardashian advocated for the cause.

Since being released, Alice Johnson has become a bit of a spokesperson for the Trump campaign and even spoke at the RNC.

Then Letterman asked the reality star how she felt working with Trump when so many Hollywood celebrities are antagonizing and hateful towards the President.

Her husband, Kanye West, has his own 2020 White House run. Even still, Kardashian wouldn’t take Letterman up on his invite to slam Trump.

“Your Reputation Is Done”

From Fox News

“Trust me, everyone called me and said, ‘Don’t you dare step foot in that White House or your reputation is done,’” Kardashian said.

As she has continued to do throughout Trump’s time in office, Kardashian refused to say a bad word about him or publicly state who she supports in the upcoming election. Letterman continued to try and get a political stance out of the reality TV star, who simply responded to his rebukes of Trump by saying, “I understand that.”

“But see, your good work is overwhelming,” Letterman states. “It’s a positive force that diminishes what I consider to be unacceptable behavior by the president.”

Kardashian responded by simply saying that she is “extremely grateful” for the administration’s decision to work with her on an issue that’s close to her heart as she continues to study law and advocate for reform.

Of course, it’s not a shock that Kardashian was warned that her Hollywood status would be in jeopardy for aligning with the President.

Ice Cube has been called numerous derogatory and racist names for working with Trump on his Platinum Plan for Black America.

If someone as tough as Ice Cube was attacked then Kardashian certainly has been getting backlash too.

So it seems Kim Kardashian isn’t afraid to go her own way, much like her husband Kanye West.
