Edge Discloses The Lessons He Learned From WWE’s Biggest Legends

Becoming a wrestler in the WWE requires a lot of heart and dedication. This is something WWE veteran Edge learned throughout this career.

In a recent interview with Busted Open RadioEdge revealed who helped him along the way.

The Lessons Edge Received From WWE Legends

In his interview, Edge mentioned Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Jerry Lawler, The Undertaker, and Terry Funk. According to Edge, these legends taught him control.

“What I got from all of them, from Ric [Flair], to Shawn [Michaels], to Taker, to Jerry [Lawler], to Terry [Funk], to Hogan, to all of them, was never panic. There’s no reason to panic – we’re in control. We tell the story, we don’t let anyone else dictate the story. We tell the story, and when you have that in mind, you can do anything. You’re the one telling the story, and I think that was the thing that I gleaned from all of them.”

Edge also mentioned AEW wrestler Luther. According to Edge, Luther taught him that he can take some time to think in the ring before executing a move.

And it seems that Edge took all the lessons to heart. Today, he is one of the best-known wrestlers on the planet.

While it was believed Edge would stay retired forever due to injury, an unexpected return saw him return as an active wrestler. So, it seems the lessons he learned were quite valuable indeed.

Edge Reveals His Favorite Moment In The WWE

Out of all the wrestling moments in his career, Edge actually chose a recent moment as his favorite of all time. In fact, he chose his return at the 2020 Royal Rumble as his all-time favorite.

And Edge’s return might be the favorite moment of many WWE fans as well. After all, there is something truly special about a wrestler returning from otherwise career-ending injury.

To this day, the moment sends shivers up the spine of wrestlers and fans alike. And fortunately for us, it means that there are a lot more Edge moments to come in the future.

Edge’s story is also one of hope. Not only is he one of the most successful superstars in history, he also came back when nobody thought he ever would.

A couple of years ago, Edge stated he had no intention of returning due to his injury. To repair the damage, he needed triple neck fusion surgery.

Over the course of time however, Edge’s body started to repair itself. And while he can never go crazy where his neck is concerned, he can now finish his career on his own terms.

Of course, this also means there is some hope for other prematurely retired superstars. Maybe Paige will eventually find her way back to the ring?
