It wasn’t clear if we’d see Mike Perry back in the Octagon in 2020. But, it’s being reported that “Platinum” will throw hands with former welterweight champ, Robbie Lawler in November.

Perry to make return against Lawler

Perry ended a two-fight losing skid this past June by working his way to a decision win over Mickey Gall. Not long after the fight, however, Perry made headlines when he was captured on film punching an older man at a restaurant.

The welterweight could also be heard shouting racial slurs. The UFC announced that Perry would not be offered another bout until he had undergone professional treatment and had been evaluated.

The 29-year-old also eventually apologized for the incident.

Well, ESPN’s Ariel Helwani is reporting that sources have confirmed to him that Perry and Lawler are set to fight at a November 21st card. UFC 255 will take place on that date.

The report states that a source says Perry (14-6) underwent a 30 day, “intensive” anger management program.

Lawler (28-15), meanwhile, is looking to end a four-fight losing streak. Last month he lost via decision to Neil Magny.
