WWE AEW Adam Cole

Word is, virtually every WWE star has made contact with AEW about jumping ship. Also, Adam Cole sees himself joining the main roster and not sticking around NXT forever.

Virtually Every WWE Star Contacts AEW

Right now, WWE and AEW are the top two wrestling promotions inside the Unites States. Both have some lucrative TV deals and plenty of cash to float around.

Apparently, many within WWE are reaching out to AEW. During  Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated “virtually everybody” in WWE in some fashion contacted someone in AEW.

The report continued the only name not to contact AEW was Roman Reigns. He has been off TV for six months due to concerns of contracting COVID-19 to his past leukemia battles.

Meltzer did not state if AEW has interest in anyone particular on WWE’s side. Plus, he did not know any specifics about money or contracts.

While AEW has build their own stars, they have brought in WWE names. Before the company ran a single show, Chris Jericho, PAC and Cody Rhodes signed with AEW.

Over the past year, FTR, Jon Moxley, Brodie Lee, Jake Hager, Arn Anderson, Shawn Spears and Vickie Guerrero are some other WWE names that made the switch. Since moving to AEW, all the names listed have been better featured on TV.

COVID-19 is causing companies to make some drastic decisions. Based on the latest report, wrestlers are also weighing their options during these uncertain times.

Adam Cole To Main Roster?

Adam Cole's NXT Future

When Adam Cole joined NXT, he quickly made an impact. He was featured as a major star and started the dominant Undisputed Era stable.

After a few years in NXT, wrestlers typically get brought to the main roster. That has not happened with Cole, as he managed to capture every title for the yellow and black brand.

Therefore, making him the second NXT Triple Crown Champion. Also, he held the NXT Championship for over a year; which is another record.

While speaking to TV Insider, Cole admitted that he wanted to join RAW or SmackDown.

Cole Open To Joining RAW or SmackDown

“To say I never want to Raw or SmackDown would be an absolute lie,” said Cole. “I think someday it would be cool to try my talents over there. At the same time, one of my favorite parts of NXT aside from the fact I really do believe in the show is being involved in something on the upswing and something that’s growing.”

“I feel like NXT is really blossoming into something special. Selfishly, I don’t want to miss out on that. I’m really enjoying my time here and feel there is more for me to do.”

“I feel like there is more for the Undisputed Era to do. As a group, we have been a dominant force in NXT. I’m in no rush to leave NXT. At the same time do I think the Undisputed Era would be effective on Raw and SmackDown? Absolutely.”

First, Cole must get by former NFL punter Pat McAfee at NXT Takeover: XXX. That feud started with Cole flipping out on McAfee and in return he took a punt to the head.

Considering how the angle is playing out, it seems like Cole is the face. If so, it would mark the first time he played a face in WWE.

Even if Cole gets called to the main roster, there is no word if the Undisputed Era would follow. Cole is a compelling singles stars, but he is even better with Undisputed Era.
