Ric Flair Went Off Script On RAW, Buff Bagwell In Car Accident

Ric Flair and Randy Orton had a RAW unscripted moment a couple weeks ago, ahead of the WWE Hall of Famer being beaten down.

Also, former WWE and WCW talent Buff Bagwell was in a serious car accident over the weekend.

Ric Flair Went Off Script On RAW,

Randy Orton has been mowing down legends lately. This path actually lead to Ric Flair and Randy Orton having a RAW unscripted moment recently.

Orton recently spoke to the media ahead of his SummerSlam title match against Drew McIntyre.

During the press time, Orton noted that the segment with Ric Flair was incredibly difficult for him to do. Clearly, Orton has a ton of respect for the legendary Nature Boy.

He noted that, in the end, it’s part of the business and both men know that.

Still, Randy Orton mentioned that the entire intense segment did not go according to the script.

The Viper revealed that Flair was never meant to have his own promo. The plan had been to speak off mic, perhaps under his breath.

Instead, Ric Flair grabbed the mic and cut a very raw and emotional promo. In the end, that unscripted moment added substantially to the overall segment.

Also, Orton says Flair was never meant to talk on the mic during that segment where they wrote him off. Check in with Kenny for the full comments – it’s great stuff.

But it was so good…

It made Orton’s attack all the more dastardly, and really helped things.

Orton provided some other great nuggets during his time with the media. One more item of note:

Randy Orton says in three of four years, he wants to be tied on 16 world titles with John Cena – who would be heel and have Ric Flair in his corner – and they face off at WrestleMania to see who gets the record number 17 and they both have to retire after.

As much as fans may tire quickly of Randy Orton as a babyface…Orton as a heel, especially this run, has been gold.

It is not hard to imagine a win for Randy Orton on Sunday. If he does win, it would move him that much closer to Flair’s record.

It’s worth noting that there has been speculation of a cliffhanger ending for the main event on Sunday.

Because we are getting Payback the Sunday after SummerSlam, many already expect this cliffhanger.

Buff Bagwell In Car Accident

Former WWE and WCW star cwas in a single car accident over the weekend. Bagwell is reported to have suffered numerous injuries.

While some injuries might be considered more serious, including broken bones, the former nWo member will avoid surgery.

According to the report, Bagwell lost control of his SUV and crashed into several barriers before coming to a stop.

Cobb Count Police indicate that Buff Bagwell was believed to be impaired by prescription drug use at the time of the crash.

The good news is no one else was injured. Bagwell himself should be OK after some down time.
