Piers Morgan Calls For Queen To Strip Meghan Markle’s Title – Bette Midler Replies “F*ck Off”

The Duchess of Sussex got called out big time for her recent venture into partisan politics. Meghan Markle teaming up with Michelle Obama prompted outcries from the people and vocal British pundit Piers Morgan. But, the liberal elites of Hollywood immediately rushed to defend Meghan Markle from the onslaught in an effort to protect her political campaigning.

Meghan Markle Gets Political With Michelle Obama

Last week, Meghan dived headfirst into the political realm when she took part in a virtual event for When All Women Vote, which is former First Lady Michelle Obama’s pro-voting organization.

During this event, Meghan talked about why encouraging people, especially women, to vote is so important to her. 

“We vote to honor those who came before us and to protect those who will come after us,” Meghan said at the event. “At this juncture, if we aren’t part of the solution, we’re part of the problem. If you’re complacent, you’re complicit. We can make the difference in this election. And we will make the difference in this election.”

“I think we’re only 75 days away from Election Day,” the former Hollywood actress continued. “That is so very close, and yet there is so much work to be done in that amount of time. We all know what’s at stake this year. I know it. And all of you certainly know it.”

Though Meghan did not specifically endorse a candidate, it was clear that she will not be voting for Donald Trump from both her comments and the fact that this was an event for an Obama-led organization. 

Piers Morgan Blasts Meghan Markle

However, this backfired for Meghan when she was hit with backlash for blatantly breaking the Queen’s royal protocol by delving into politics.

British television personality Piers Morgan was one person who blasted Meghan Markle for her foray into blatantly partisan politics.

The “Good Morning Britain” host tweeted, “The Queen must strip the Sussexes of their titles. They can’t remain as royals & spout off about foreign elections in such a brazenly partisan way.”

Liberal Hollywood Comes To Her Defense

However, the liberal elites of Hollywood were quick to rush to Meghan’s defense.

The anti-Trump actress and singer Bette Midler fired back at Morgan by tweeting, “oh, f*** off.”

Meanwhile, former “The Wire” writer David Simon wrote in response, “It’s her country. It’s a moral stand. F*** your royal a**kissery. F*** your rule book.”

“The Good Place” actress Jameela Jamil had some words of defense for Meghan as well.

“I *THINK* they may be more embarrassed by their alleged resident pedo Andrew who was besties with a sex trafficker, than an American supporting women voting in her own country, and loosely referencing the importance of general democracy which is being threatened here currently,” she tweeted.

In a follow-up tweet in response to a fan who asked why people were attacking Meghan, Jamil suggested that it was race-related. Of course, she had no concrete evidence to back this up. 

“Because she’s not white,” Jamil tweeted. “And because she’s smart, strong, opinionated, rebellious, beautiful, happy and has everything they never will. She’s a terrifying threat to patriarchy because she doesn’t fit the stereotype for women. They discredit her because they can’t kill her.”

Meghan and Harry may have stepped down as senior royals earlier this year, but they are still family members of the Queen. Plus they hold their Duke and Duchess titles.

So it’s nothing short of disrespectful to be shamelessly breaking her rules in such a public way. The Sussexes know that the Queen won’t like them talking about politics, but they don’t care.

It’s clear that they care far more about sitting at the “cool kids table” with their fellow liberal elites in Hollywood, than they do about honoring the wishes of Harry’s grandmother.
