It’s not known for certain, if Mike Perry will fight again for the UFC. But, the controversial fighter says he’ll do his part to be a better person moving forward.

Perry issues an apology

The 28 year-old Perry has made headlines in the past for making various inflammatory and inappropriate comments. But, due to an incident last month, in which Perry was recorded punching an older man, the UFC has said ‘Platinum’ won’t be offered another fight until he completes a treatment program and is re-evaluated.

In addition, recently it was reported that Perry’s ex-wife, Danielle Nickerson filed for a restraining order against him earlier this year. Nickerson alleged that Perry threatened her physically, however, the order was not issued.

More recently, Perry shared out the statement below.

I want to be a better role model for my family. For my unborn son. My Queen @latory_g
and for myself so I can earn the respect I deserve. To my sponsors and my bosses at @ufc
I want to apologize for how my actions have impacted our relationships. I will be better all around #Oss

Perry’s last bout

The latest controversies involving Perry have arisen after he defeated Mickey Gall by decision in June. Prior to that, Perry had lost back-to-back bouts to Geoff Neal and Vicente Luque.

The heavy-handed fighter currently holds a record of 14-6.
