Vince McMahon Old Man

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has come under some heavy scrutiny from his former employees lately. Now, Curt Hawkins has come forward to say what he really thinks about Vince McMahon.

Brian Myers Calls Vince McMahon An Out Of Touch Old Man

Brian Myers made his opinion on Vince McMahon known

Curt Hawkins was a loyal employee of the WWE, until he was released alongside countless other. While interrupting a promo on Impact Wrestling, Brian Myers referred to the chairman as an out of touch 70-year-old man.

“I’m so sick of being referred to as somebody’s ‘good hand’. It disgusts me that major decisions in this business are being made by some out of touch 70-year-old man in some goofy production meeting! Not anymore. I’m taking my career and this business into my hands. You, and all of Impact Wrestling have been put on warning. I am the most professional wrestler, Brian Myers.”

And Brian Myers has a reason to be upset with Vince McMahon. After all, his wife was 6 months pregnant upon his release.

Will Shock Value Pull Viewers To Impact Wrestling?

Brian Myers adds some shock value to Impact Wrestling

Since the statement was made during a promo, it is clear Impact Wrestling is looking for shock value. And they certainly have the roster to do it.

After releasing numerous superstars, a lot of them found their way to Impact Wrestling. Aside from Brian Myers, the promotion also acquired Gallows and Anderson as well as EC3.

Recently, Karl Anderson also spoke out about his time at the WWE. In several tweets, he mentioned how The Kliq truly hate one another.

A lot of the wrestlers who left WWE recently have a bone to pick with the chairman. So, it is no surprise that a lot of wrestlers have come out with stories of their own.

AEW Wrestlers Also Spoke Out

FTR

Impact Wrestling is not the only promotion that acquired former WWE wrestlers. After all, AEW acquired Zack Ryder (Matt Cardona) as well as The Revival (FTR).

FTR has been vocal about their WWE problems long before they left WWE. From creative issues to poor bookings, the complaints list was long for Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler.

Dax Harwood has also been very vocal recently about WWE and its management. In fact, he jumped on the statements made by Karl Anderson about The Kliq.

There is no doubt that many of the wrestlers currently complaining about WWE were mistreated by the company. Some of them even for years, just look at Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder.

Fortunately, the new promotions are giving new opportunities to these former WWE wrestlers. Now, they can use their experience and talent to contribute to their new employer’s wrestling promotion.

With all the negative comments coming from former wrestlers, it might be difficult for the WWE to ignore their image problem any longer. Until they start to tackle some of their internal issues, I fear more stories about life in the company will emerge in the months to come.

Of course, as I said before, it is an interesting time to be a wrestling fan. I cannot wait to see how the careers of the released wrestlers develop in the coming months.
