tested positive COVID-19

Brock Ballou got a call from a contact tracer informing him he tested positive for COVID-19. That call from the Tennessee Department of Health raised a lot of red flags because he was never even tested for the virus. However, the drama didn’t stop there.

He told a local reporter:

“She specifically said – I’m looking at it right here – you tested positive – this is a follow up call to see how your symptoms are.”

Ballou wasn’t surprised that a contact tracer contacted him. He was expecting it since one of his co-workers was diagnosed as having COVID-19. When asked if it is possible that he misheard the woman, he said no.

Three Calls Saying He Is COVID-19 Positive

“I’m 100 percent sure that’s what she said, she was looking right at it,” he explained, “she told me I’m in the system – looking right at it that you’re showing positive.”

It continued with calls from two other contact tracers who insisted he tested positive with COVID-19 and had the virus. Each caller also asked about his current symptoms. But, since Ballou was never tested for the deadly virus, he wasn’t sure why the government called him at all, let alone three times.

This has Ballou and others questioning the number of positive cases the state of Tennessee is reporting. He has never been tested, but according to three phone calls he was counted as someone with coronavirus.

How many other people were also included as having COVID-19 when they hadn’t even been swabbed?

The state Department of Health confirmed that they are investigating the discrepancy. They verified all three phone numbers that called Ballou were from workers with the department.

Incorrect COVID-19 Reporting

This isn’t an isolated issue with an incorrect diagnosis. There have been multiple reports of testing problems across the country. This is making many people question the accuracy of the tallies.

From The Daily Wire

As noted by The Daily Wire last week, the Florida State Health Department confirmed that some testing laboratories in the state have not been disclosing their negative novel coronavirus testing results accurately, skewing the positivity rates dramatically. At least two labs were discovered to have inflated their positivity rates of the virus by a factor of ten.

“Countless labs have reported a 100 percent positivity rate, which means every single person tested was positive. Other labs had very high positivity rates,” FOX 35 explained Tuesday.

It was uncovered that Orlando Veteran’s Medical Center’s reported positivity rate of 76% was actually around 6%, a spokesperson for the center revealed. FOX 35 added, “Orlando Health’s positivity rate is only 9.4 percent, not 98 percent as in the report.”

As the state investigates how this happened, Ballou continues questioning being diagnosed with a virus without even being tested.

“I said I don’t know what’s going on, but it’s wrong. I’m just another number when I’m not,”  the Tennessee man said.
