Triple H Sells Over $1 Million In WWE Stock, Cain Velasquez’s Future

Triple H Sells Over $1 Million In WWE Stock

Former WWE champion Triple H was part of the group of WWE executives who sold off over $160 million in company shares a few years ago.

Also, Triple H, who is the executive vice president of global talent strategy and development, sold off 17,272 shares valued at $1.4 million.

Now, it is being reported that he again sold stock. In addition, in a new WWE SEC filing, Triple H sold 23,255 shares of the company this past Monday for just over $1 million.

The report notes that he still owns 144,646 shares of Class A Common Stock after the sale. His most recent move saw the shares be sold at $43.80 per share.

Triple H, a WWE Hall of Famer, is of course married to Stephanie McMahon, the daughter of WWE CEO Vince McMahon. Paul Levesque is also the founder and senior producer of NXT.

As a wrestler, he made his professional debut in 1992 and won his first WWE championship in 1999. Since that time, Triple H has been involved in many major storylines and headlined numerous WrestleMania events and shows.

Cain Velasquez’s Future

Anyone wondering if Cain Velasquez might be pondering a return to the UFC can wipe those thoughts from their minds.

Javier Mendez, the long-time coach for Velasquez and the leader of the American Kickboxing Academy gym in California, told the Luke Thomas Show on SiriusXM that Velasquez is finished with MMA. Subsequently, Velasquez is focused on pro wrestling.

“He’s wrestling,” Mendez said.

Last month, Velasquez was released from his lucrative WWE contract. He wrestled just a handful of times, including a quick bout with Brock Lesnar.

Meanwhile, there have been numerous reports as to the exact reason Velasquez was released by the WWE. Some believe it to be part of the cost-cutting, while others have questioned some of the decisions made by Velasquez.

He failed to report a complete injury report when signing his contract, which has forced him to the sidelines for much of his tenure.

Therefore, the 37-year-old Velasquez retired from MMA in 2019 to begin his pro wrestling career. He competed for the Mexican Lucha Libre promotion AAA before joining the WWE.
